This presentation gives an introduction to basic ideas on supply chain design and management.

·         The first big idea is that global supply chains are all around us, and explores some everyday real-world examples.

·         The second big idea is that global supply chains are chaotic and includes an introduction to chaos theory with examples from everyday life.

·         The third big idea is that the keys to success for global supply chains are good supply chain design and management, with concrete examples of common consumer products.
